NativeGreen brings together many years of innovative environmental efforts led by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community into a single campaign that unites environmental efforts across the tribal government, the SMSC’s enterprises and the surrounding region.
Our relationship with Uŋcí Maká is both sacred and a kinship, and we strive to be a good steward of the earth for future generations. As a result, we protect and restore wetlands, aquifers, prairies and forests, and invest in sustainable infrastructure including green roofs, renewable energy, and innovative technologies to improve water quality and clean water access.
NativeGreen does the critical work of extending our core value of environmental stewardship throughout the tribal government and enterprises, rooting the value into all areas of business and life.
